In one short trip this backpacking route offers striking alpine meadows, endless crystal clear lakes with quirky names, glacial basins and a backdrop of 13,000+ foot granite peaks along the Sierra Crest. The deeper into the mountains you climb, the more stunning the terrain becomes. The trip is a total of 16 miles with 3,270 feet of elevation gain. The trail is considered moderate with extremely rewarding views for the level of difficulty.
